Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga, and the duo Bruno Mars and Rose were all winners for the 2025 MTV VMAs.

Ariana Grande won three awards at the VMAs. Ariana Grande won with the video of the year, best pop, and best long-form video with her song “Brighter Days Ahead.” She thanked her fans, her father, who was in the music video, and more. Ariana said, “Thank you so much. Oh my god, this is so kind… I have to start by saying thank you so much to my fans. I’m going to cry,” showing her appreciation to all of her fans and the people who voted for her to get the award.
Sabrina Carpenter was also a big winner of the night, taking home three awards. The first award is for visual effects, the second award is for Album of the Year, and the last one is for Pop Artist of the Year. She won these awards with the album “Short n’ Sweet.”
Lady Gaga was the biggest winner of the night, taking home four awards. The awards that she took home were the collaboration, artist of the year, art direction, and direction. Her collaboration award was for her song “Die with a Smile” with Bruno Mars. She earned artist of the year for her collective work. Then she won an art direction award for her music video, “Abracadabra.” The singer Lady Gaga also won a direction award for her song “Abracadabra.”
The iconic duo, Bruno Mars and Rose, won the Song of the Year award with their song “APT.” Rose received the award for the duo because Bruno was unable to attend. She said, “Okay, first of all, Bruno, I know you’re watching. First of all, thank you so much, Bruno.” Showing her appreciation for Bruno, gotten her to where she is today.
The freshman Adelynn Chaemin shared her thoughts on who she thought should have won at the VMAs on Sunday, September 7, ” I think that both Kateye and Somber should have won something at the VMAs, I feel like they deserved it the most.”
