Our universe is so perfectly designed, but we don’t exactly know how it came about. There have been many theories over the years, but we will never truly know.
One of the biggest theories is the Big Bang theory. The big bang theory is the idea that the universe started as an infinitely small, hot, and dense point, which stretched and expanded into our current universe over the course of 13.7 billion years.
This theory was first discovered or thought of in 1931 by Georges Lemaitre. He was a Belgian astronomer and cosmologist who came up with the idea. Modern scientists have stuck with his theory ever since.

This is a very controversial theory because it goes against most religions. In most religions, they believe that there is one or multiple almighty beings that created our universe. If there is an almighty person, then the Big Bang theory simply cannot exist. There are also many other beliefs, and everyone is allowed to have their own opinion.
Julie R., a student in the district, does not believe in the Big Bang theory. R. said,
“I do not believe in the big bang theory, given that I am religious and I believe that God created this universe and everything in it.”
Sabrina Preciado, a freshman in the district, also believes that the Big Bang theory does not exist. Preciado said,
“I personally do not believe in the Big Bang theory because I am religious, so I have different beliefs. I think the universe came about when God created the earth according to the bible.”
Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion when it comes to how the universe was created. Currently, we do not know for a fact how the universe was created. Until we have a confirmed answer on how it was created, if we ever do, we will never truly know.
