As we get closer to the end of the year, Eleanor Roosevelt High School’s class of 2025 has a chance to participate in more events to celebrate the nearing end of their journey in their education. Eleanor Roosevelt High School’s ASB has organized a senior sunset luau for seniors to enjoy a fun night of dancing and dinner. The event will take place on Friday, May 23, from 7:15 pm – 10:15 pm at the quad.

Seniors are invited to dress in their best luau or tropical attire and enjoy an evening filled with music, food, and fun under the sunset.
Tickets are available for $25 with an ASB card and $35 without. However, if you miss the pre-sale, you can still attend by purchasing a ticket for $40 at the door.
In addition to dinner and dancing, seniors will also have the opportunity to record a special message that will be shown on the big screen at graduation. It is a unique way to share memories or to show gratitude towards friends, family, and teachers during one of the most important moments of your high school journey.
A student at Eleanor Roosevelt High School, Sabrina Preciado, thinks the senior sunset luau could be a memorable moment for seniors and a chance to say goodbye to high school. Preciado states
“I think senior sunset luau could be a fun event for seniors because it is a good opportunity to connect with other students and give them something to look forward to for the last couple weeks of high school. A senior luau gives them a chance to relax and take a break from school work and preparing for college to have fun.”
Another student at Eleanor Roosevelt High School, Remy Tonthat, agrees with Preciado and believes this event could be a fun way for seniors to celebrate their high school career. Tonthat states:
“I think seniors would want to take pictures in this theme and say their final goodbyes to their friends.”
Don’t miss the senior sunset luau and a chance to say goodbye to high school!
