Eleanor Roosevelt High School has partnered with Norco College to provide an academic opportunity to students through the Dual Enrollment program. This is available for current 9th to 11th graders. This program allow students to earn high school and college credits, which can help them get ahead in their education.
Registration for summer and fall 2025 dual enrollment opened on Monday, April 21. To help students and their families understand the benefits and process of the dual enrollment program, Eleanor Roosevelt High School is providing an informational Zoom meeting. These meetings are scheduled for April 30, May 13, and May 27, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. Ms. Cabal and Mr. Baier will be presenting and will talk about application steps, including how to register through CCCApply and DualEnroll.

The program can be very beneficial to students. There will be no tuition and fees, and textbooks will be provided. Courses are offered online or on the ERHS campus. Courses are transferable to CSU and UC schools. This can be a great opportunity for students looking to reduce future college costs and lighten their college course load.
A student at Eleanor Roosevelt High School, Calista Diep, believes that taking these college courses could be a great opportunity to make her time in college easier. Diep states
“College courses can benefit me in the future as it grants me the access to do less required courses in college, which opens up more time to enjoy my college days or to pursue other opportunities for my future.”
Diep mentions how participating in the Dual Enrollment program can help her with applying to college. Diep later states,
“I see it as an opportunity to control what I can do in college. I is also beneficial towards my portfolio to hopefully go to USC.”
Another student at ERHS, Naomi Jhu, agrees with Diep, that the Dual Enrollment program can greatly benefit her in the future. Jhu states,
“Taking college courses now can benefit me in the future because it will teach me about college standard so I can familiarize myself with the level of teaching and expectations.”
Students are placed with other high school students and are taught by Norco College instructors. Families can stay updated by joining the Remind groups for their graduating class.
