Introduction
D4vd (pronounced simply as David) is an alternative artist that has been at the heart of a few viral hits throughout the years. He is perhaps most well known for his songs, “Romantic Homicide” and “Feel It” from the series “Invincible.” His range as a vocalist and performer has created some interesting projects, including his most recent release, “WITHERED.”

“I’ve been a fan of D4vd since he was featured on the ‘Invincible’ soundtrack,” said Cyrus Lariz. “I think his music is pretty cool.”
The Album
D4vd’s style throughout the years has become more refined, and his main focus is still creating emotional music. Stylistically, “WITHERED” is a very somber and deep album, things that D4vd is no stranger to. The opening track “Atomic Land” quickly sets the mood as another installment that will be focusing on heartbreak. The instrumental ranges a lot, with some rock elements and other elements more sounding of digital production. D4vd uses his vocals and autotune to create some great melodies, such as the chorus on “Sky.” “Friend Again” brings a more rock-sounding track to the production styles. “Somewhere in the Middle” sounds a bit more like a classic somber alternative track, something more reminiscent of the early 2000s. The only feature on the album comes from Kali Uchis appearance on “Crashing,” and the song is greatly complimented by her vocal inflections. “What Are You Waiting For” takes on a more upbeat and quicker pace compared to the rest of the tracks, something more in style with the single “Feel It.” The final track, “Afterlife” brings the album to close on a mellow and somber note.
D4vd’s lyrical content is also notable on the album. Most of his music borders on the heartbreak archetype, but he manages to keep his lyrics relevant and tragic. “Friend Again” has D4vd battling with his indecision to keep this lost love in or out of his life. “Somewhere in the Middle” has D4vd struggling with where he is at in a relationship, whether the person he cares for cares about him. “Ghost” has D4vd reminiscing on this lost love again, this time saying that although his love is gone with another, the spirit of that love is still with him, lingering.
“D4vd’s music is a lot more sad than what I know him for,” added Lariz. “But this was a good album.”
Conclusion
There is a lot to like about “WITHERED.” The album, although similar in theme to other D4vd projects, has great depth in its style and contents. His talent as a vocalist and in the production side of things makes him a very adaptable artist, one who will likely have a fruitful career.
