“All Shook Up” is an Elvis Presley jukebox musical, meaning it features only Elvis songs. Elvis Presley himself wrote this musical back in 2005. The storyline follows these characters in a small midwestern town, when one day, a guy on a motorcycle comes in and shakes things up!
Eleanor Roosevelt High School is doing a production of this musical in the upcoming weeks. While this show is being worked on, many students are putting in the effort to make it a show. One of these students is Jax Serna, a senior at Eleanor Roosevelt. Serna states, “I’m in ensemble and have been part of theater for two years. The production overall is going well, we’re finishing up sets and costumes, but the show is gonna be great as it’s all coming together! I’m going to be a bit emotional because it’s my first and last show for this school.”
Many seniors this time around are extremely upset over this show because it’s their final one. There are many students who grew up in this theater, making this show an emotional show for sure. Serna stated that above that, the show itself should be amazing in the end.

A freshman at JFK, Chase Jorgenson who’s part of this theater program had some words to say, “My role in ‘All Shook Up’ is props, and I’ve been in theater for roughly a semester and a half. From my perspective, this show is going well, but there are still some bumps in the road. Overall, it should be great in the end. This one will be emotional because this is the last show I’ll be doing with this year’s seniors.”
Overall, many students stated that this show will be good, despite how emotional it will be in the end. There have definitely been bumps in the road when it came to putting it all together, but that’s how each show goes. “All Shook Up” will be a great show. Make sure to check it out before it’s too late!
