The NFL Mock Draft is a yearly event and usually happens during early April. The NFL Mock draft predicts how teams will do in round 1 of the NFL draft. It predicts which players will be selected by which teams.

The Tennessee Titans are a favorite among fans to address quarterbacks atop the draft. This leaves the Cleveland Browns as the difference maker. It has been shown that the Cleveland Browns are leaning towards Colorado’s Travis Hunter. The NFL Mock Drafts are important as they create excitement among fans, giving them a glimpse of their favorite teams. The three predictions are based on a team’s needs, a combination of a team’s performance, and the draft class’s talent pool.

The first round usually gets the most attention as it features the top prospects and is broadcast live. Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston filled the quarterback hole for the New York Giants, but the Giants needed a disruptive force to pair with Dexter Lawrence on the interior defensive line. Mason Graham, Michigan, could be the best option, as he had the best defensive tackle in this draft, had 17 tackles for loss, and nine sacks in 39 games in Michigan. After the New England Patriots prioritized defense, their concern is making the pass protection stronger.

The NFL draft consists of 7 rounds.  The Las Vegas Raiders had the worst rushing attack last season. Coming off as one of the best running back seasons,  Ashton Jeanty would be a perfect fit for Pete Carroll. Nick Bosa from the San Francisco 49ers needs help on the defensive line, with Leonard Floyd and Maliek Collins, the defensive tackle. The 2024 Butkus Award Winner, Jalon Walker, led Georgia with 6.5 sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss last season.

I interviewed a freshman from Eleanor Roosevelt High School, Belinda Han, and she stated, “I don’t watch it, but my family likes football.”

I also interviewed another freshman at ERHS named Sanjhanna Praveen, and she stated, “I don’t watch football.”
