PSAT

Angel VIllarreal, Staff Writer

The PSAT, or Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test, is the practice version of the SAT. The PSAT not only helps you practice for the SAT or ACT, but it gives you an idea of whats going to be on it when you take the real thing. It approximately takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes and tests you on your reading, writing, and math skills. The highest possible points you can receive is 1520. The PSAT is typically for students in grades 10-11 and is only offered once a year. If you are looking forward to receiving a scholarship because of this test, it will only count for junior year. The PSAT is given to all juniors in our school for free, so take advantage of the opportunity and try your best!
