Lately, you might have seen some girls in uniform trying to sell cookies to you. Whether that is outside of stores, knocking on your door, or maybe even your own family member. Every January-April the girls scouts sell cookies to earn money for their organization. The girl scouts have many different flavors that range from sweet and chocolate to sour and lemon. Everyone has a different taste when it comes to girl scout cookies but everyone debates which cookie is the best.
Every year, the girl scouts have new flavors and take away old flavors. This year, they have many different flavors. They have Adventurefuls, Toast-Yay, Lemonades, Trefoils, Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Sandwich, and Caramel Chocolate Chip. Every baker and organization has different flavor cookies so it ranges from where you live.
Girl scout cookies have been selling for many years. It all started in 1917 and they started selling them at their high school. The cookies have been selling ever since. Throughout the years the flavors have changed and they have gotten more popular and they sell them out in public.
All the cookies have different flavors and textures which is good for everyone with different tastes in cookies. Everyone that buys girl scout cookies usually has a preference for which cookie to buy.

Amara Obinwanne, a student in the district is a girl scout and sells cookies every year. Obinwanne says, “As a girl scout, the most frequently bought and the fan favorite is definitely thin mints. Every time the season comes around everyone wants thin mints.” Thin Mints are chocolate cookies with a hint of mint when you bite into it. These are clearly fan favorites. Obinwanne later stated that her favorite cookies are Caramel deLites. She said, “I’m not the biggest coconut fan but when I eat those cookies, that doesn’t even matter.”
Every girl scout sells cookies differently. The most frequently bought cookie might be different for every girl scout because it is based on how much they sell cookies and what options the scout usually has available.
Camilla Aleman, a frehshman in the district, buys cookies from the girl scouts every year. Aleman says, “My favorite girl scout cookies have to be the Adventurefuls and the Lemonades. In my opinion, I think they should get rid of the Caramel deLites because I hate coconut.” She later said, “Overall, I enjoy the girl scout cookies and I munch on them within 20 minutes.”
The debate of which girl scout cookie is the best might not ever be solved because everyone has a different taste palate and not everyone will always enjoy the same foods.
