Jamfest Cheer Super Nationals is an all-star cheer competition located in the Indianapolis Convention Center. The competition started last Saturday.

This is a competition where teams from around the US travel, too. At this competition, teams had the opportunity to win a bid to the Summit or worlds either being an At-Large bid or a paid bid. The team’s scores determined this, the 2 highest scores in each division would get a paid bid, and some At-Large bids would be given out to teams that had pretty high scores.

Before this competition, Jamfest hosted a competition for world teams called Majors which you had to get invited to by getting top 3 at worlds. My cheer gym world team attended the majors because they had gotten first at worlds the previous year and won majors last and this year as well. The teams Smack, Scarlet, and Miss Twist got first place.

The team’s Hush and Crush got 2nd place in very hard divisions. I attended this competition last year and this year and won both years. On my team this year we scored the highest score in the whole competition and received a paid bid to summit, level 3 grand champs, and a golden ticket!

During the competition I interviewed Ariani Tangaloa and asked her how she felt about attending Majors and Jamfest and here’s what she had to say, “Attending Majors for the first time and winning was a great experience as well as winning jam fest.”

Another athlete Kingsley Semonza said, “It was a fun competition and I’m so happy I won!”

This competition is overall amazing and very put together with an upbeat vibe to it. Workers and staff from Varsity did an amazing job hosting this competition. I hope to attend this competition again next year it was so fun and it was successful for me.
