Baseball…

Baseball is my favorite sport; in my opinion, it is the best sport of all.

I have played other sports like soccer, bowling, and basketball, but they do not compare. They are competitive in their own way, but baseball has been my passion since I was a little kid.

Baseball stood out to me in an extraordinary way.  One reason why is because of my dad. My dad taught me to play baseball and made it fun. He was my baseball coach when I was in Little League. His favorite sport is football, but I am glad he introduced me to Baseball.

My favorite team is the Los Angeles Angels Of Anaheim. I enjoy my team, it’s my family’s favorite baseball team. We go to games and have a good time. My favorite player is Mike Trout.

Mr. Garcia, a Spanish teacher at ERHS, shared his opinion and knowledge on baseball.

¨Well, baseball itself is a great sport, on the outside it doesn’t look like much but there are a lot of middle games going on and a lot of athleticism,” Garcia said. “It’s a difficult sport because batters are facing pitchers who are throwing anything from 70-90 plus mph and you have to put a stick on it to put the ball in play. There are a lot of things going on defensively, pitchers are trying to change the height of the speed, and the movement of the ball, it is a great sport, and it’s fun to watch.”

Malakai Canales, a student at Roosevelt also shared his opinion on the sport.

“The sport is fun, but teammates can be crazy and get mad when they get out,” Canales explains. “But still a fun sport.”
