You may have noticed many students around campus wearing shiny silver jewelry. From rings to pendants to septum piercings and bracelets, Hard Jewelry has it all.
Made with sterling silver and solid stainless steel, Hard Jewelry’s pieces are fashionable, affordable, and suit all different styles of clothing. Hard Jewelry’s goal is to make the “hardest jewelry in the world.” “Hard” means something cool or stylish. Their mission is to give everyone who wears their pieces more confidence in themselves.
The company’s jewelry is not only high quality but affordable as well. Normally in the jewelry market, you have your extremely expensive pieces, the ones that people can’t regularly afford. And then there’s the cheaper jewelry that will leave your skin green, and break very quickly.
Hard Jewelry has a fictional antagonist, known as the “CEO of Soft Jewelry,” who is the embodiment of jewelry of bad quality “Softy Jewelry.”
CEO of Hard Jewelry Will Velazquez, created Hard Jewelry in 2017 inspired to make jewelry for younger people so they would embrace themselves in their styles.
Isaiah Rodriguez a high school student has been a fan since 2019 and shared how he was introduced to Hard Jewelry.
“I found it around 2019 from my brother,” Rodriguez said. He is a frequent customer of the company now and enjoys Hard Jewelry as he is known to be wearing one or more of Hard Jewelry pieces in and out of school.
Hard Jewelry’s most recognizable piece is the “DYT” or “Down Your Throat” pendant. The pendent has a skull with the cross penetrating it.
“My favorite purchase would be my DYT pendent,” Rodriguez said.
Dalton Fich is a high school fashion icon who has also part-taken in Hard Jewelry products.
When asked what pieces he liked he claimed, “The crucifix cause it looks cool and I’ve been needing a crucifix pendant,” Fich said, referring to the “Down Your Throat” pendant.
“And the skeleton one cause its head and body are interconnected and they move around which is cool” Fich states.
I’ve been buying pieces from Hard Jewelry for about two years now, but I’ve been familiar with them for much longer than that. The brand is very popular amongst young people, especially students at Roosevelt. Last year for my birthday I spent most of my money buying jewelry from their website, and I think it was definitely worth the money I spent.
On special occasions, like anniversaries, Hard Jewelry gives “freebies,” with the package. Last time I got a package from them they included a comic full of art that was related to their brand as a bonus.
Over the years Hard Jewelry has become increasingly more popular, but the quality and personalization that goes into every order hasn’t changed. This is a company that I personally enjoy very much. They’re fun, stylish, and engaging, and have given me the confidence to explore my personal style more.
Even if you don’t necessarily wear much jewelry, or you aren’t a fan of silver, you can’t go wrong buying one of their pieces. There is something for everyone to enjoy. Hard Jewelry’s styles range from chunky large styles to more dainty and smaller pieces. Their jewelry is for everyone, and you might just find the perfect piece for you. And if not, it makes the perfect gift for someone else!
You can purchase pieces through their website, or take a look at their other socials such as Instagram and X. Because it’s their seventh anniversary all merchandise is currently on sale! So stop by and see if there’s something you might enjoy.
