On November 15, the two presidents concluded their meeting and then attended a banquet hosted by President Biden at the Philippe Manor on the outskirts of San Francisco.

It has been reported that while at the entrance of the banquet hall, President Biden greeted the Chinese delegation at the door, then taking out his mobile phone and pulling up a picture. When Xi walked up to him, Biden held up his phone for Xi to look at and asked, “Do you know this person?”
“We know each other, this was me 38 years ago,” Xi said.
It turned out that what Biden showed on his mobile phone was a photo of Xi visiting San Francisco in 1985 when he took office as secretary of the Zhengding County Party Committee.

President Xi Jinping returned to Beijing by special plane on the evening of November 18 after attending the 30th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting.
