In celebration of Black History Month, The Roosevelt Review will be recognizing quite a few great black Americans of achievement. So many African- Americans have done many great things but have not received their  proper attention.

A. Philip Randolph- This great African- American organized the famous March on Washington. He was a powerful civil rights activist in the 1960s and early 1970s. He was a friend to one of the more famous civil rights activists, Martin Luther King.

Angela Davis- This great African-American was not only a widely known civil right activist but she also was a Black Panther, author, and scholar. She has persevered through many obstacles such as government oppression and many other factors.
