CA Drought Conditions

Update: California has not been drought free since October 2011. But recently its conditions have made a dramatic improvement, nearly half of California is considered out of the drought. Areas such as San Bernardino and Riverside counties are expected to only suffer a moderate drought. With our recent rainstorms and blizzards we hope it continues. The rain has created a run off that has increased some lake levels.

But the drought is far from over. Although it has dramatically changed we are still considered in a drought. Rain is expected to continue as we are still in our wet season. California’s department of water resources is evaluating whether to end the emergency drought rules. It is likely that in April they will decide whether to amend or get rid of the declaration. Hopefully we will get enough rain for California’s water levels to raise.
