IT Movie Update
September 13, 2019
Pennywise is back again in a fitting follow-up in the new movie IT Chapter Two, released as a sequel to the Stephen King-based smash series. The newest installment offers an emotionally satisfying, if sometimes illogical, closing chapter. IT Chapter Two hit theaters last Friday, September 6, and despite receiving mixed reviews, has had a successful first week in the box office.
The film itself has a running time of 169 minutes and has an R rating for disturbing violent content and bloody images throughout. Some should be also be cautious of pervasive language and some crude sexual material. Although, despite the messages of caution, the movie does not fail to deliver on its rating and the hype. Fans are excited to see what new terrors await the group in this latest film.
Set twenty-seven years after their first encounter with the terrifying and infamous clown Pennywise, the Losers Club have grown up and moved away, until a devastating phone call brings them back to encounter Pennywise once again.
Ivan Gamboa, a senior on campus at Eleanor Roosevelt High School, plans on seeing the movie saying, “The characters are gonna be older and they are gonna return to their home town 27 years later to try and stop IT from happening again. I feel like one of the main characters is gonna die, that’d be cool.”
He went on to say, “I want the movie to be scarier than the first one.”
Feeling pretty pumped for the movie Ian Gamboa, went on to say, “The first movie was insane, I am for sure looking forward to seeing how far the directors came and am psyched to see some blood.”
