Pep Rally

Sports

Kicking off the first Pep Rally of 2019, The ERHS drumline and student sections cheered on our different sports teams for the winter.

Boys Varsity Soccer 2019

Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, Freshman, and staff welcomed and cheered on our Eleanor Roosevelt Varsity Soccer boys who walked across the gym proud of their accomplishments this season. For varsity seniors, this will be their last time walking across the gym being cheered on by fellow students as they are graduating in June.

Girls Varsity Soccer 2019

During our 2019 Pep Rally, along with Boys Soccer, students and staff also cheered on Girls Varsity Soccer. They ran across the gym cheering loudly and proudly because of their accomplishments this season. A senior (Pictured in front of the girls soccer sign) Came onto the gym floor, hyping up the crowd and even doing a flip underneath the girls soccer sign, making the crowd roar.

Wrestling 2019

Another sports team Mustangs cheered on during our 2019 Pep Rally was the wrestling team, who came out loud and proud in front of their fellow students and staff, on each others shoulders and jumping all around.

Boys Varsity Basketball

Lastly, the Boys Varsity Basketball team was cheered on during the Pep Rally. The roar of the crowd was so loud when the announcer called their name, it definitely made the Boys Basketball team feel welcomed and loved by their fellow Mustangs.

Performances

Luz Padron and Terrion Chavers

Furthermore, during Roosevelt’s Winter Pep Rally, multiple performances took place that made ERHS students and staff jaws drop. Every performance was amazing and made the student sections loud with cheer. The first performance of the day was ERHS Mustang Theatre, who came out and put on a great show full of dancing and singing along to a popular musical theatre song. They all had smiles on their faces and looked proud to be apart of Mustang Theatre. Next was Roosevelts Song Dance team, they were all so talented and were definitely a crowd favorite. Next was ERHS’ K-pop dance group. They danced to K-pop songs and were amazing at getting the students on their feet and dancing along with them. Last but certainly not least was Roosevelts Flava Hip-Hop dance team. They were on beat and their dance moves made the student section go wild. During all three pep rallys, the crowd’s cheers were so loud when they finished with their amazing performances.

Games

Roosevelt incorporated games into each performance and sports group that was presented.

Musical Chairs

A crowd favorite was musical chairs. ASB members grabbed 2 students from each class, 2 seniors, 2 juniors, 2 sophomores, and 2 freshman to participate. In every rally, it was always one class vs another class when only one chair was left. In the picture above after the classes got weeded out by not being able to grab a seat in time, the last two students were a senior and a freshman, with the freshman being able to pull through and win for a spirit point.

Another game that class council and ASB members were able to incorporate was a balloon pop. This competition was underclassmen vs upperclassmen and what they had to do was run up to each other with a balloon in between them and they needed to pop it by hugging each other. In the end, whoever got the most balloons popped won.

Alma Mater

At the end of every Pep Rally, the choir sings our Alma Mater while each class holds up a finger of how many years they have left until they graduate. Pictured here, a senior is holding up one finger as she only has one year left until she graduates.
