Pink Out Stampede!

Vannessa Robalino, Lowerclassmen Editor/Vice President

On Friday, October 14th, Roosevelt had its Pink Out football game in regards to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Each year in the United States, more than 200,000 women get breast cancer and more than 40,000 women die from the disease. The meaning behind Pink Out games is to recognize women who have conquered cancer or are currently battling it . Throughout all games, Roosevelt has its own stampede that not only supports our games but sets the spirit tone with their chants and energy.
Our Pink Stampede this year, however, truly made an impact on the game this school year. Not only did various students come decked out in pink, but the whole student section was packed. There was not one moment where students were quiet, they were always hyped. There were also various women who came to the game and the smiles on their face were ones to never forget. If you didn’t come to the Pink Out game this year , you missed out on a win for Roosevelt against Corona HS but on a recognition of supporting women all around. Support the fight!
