Relentless is a book series composed of  fanciful stories with mythical creatures, intense action, and prominent characters that have been entertaining readers since it’s release. Author Karen Lynch, has published seven books for this series beginning in 2013 to present day, with her most recent book “Hellion.”

The first book of this series is ‘Relentless’ told from the point of Sara Grey as she embarks on a mission to find out who killed her father ten years ago.Living a life full of secrets, Sara attempts to keep her family and friends in the dark while she learns about her own powerful gifts. Now seventeen, she searches for answers and falls into the clutches of an obsessed vampire whose main goal is to get her back after she is saved by half demon Mohiri warrior Nikolas Danshov.  In the fight for her life she learns her friends have their own secrets as well as a few about herself she had yet to discover. Learning to trust the one person who can help get both answers and face an evil vampire is one of the hardest things Sara will have to do.

‘Refuge’ published in December of 2014 continues Sara’s story as she allows Nikolas to sweep her off to one of the many Mohiri compounds, leaving everything behind in attempt to keep her and everyone she loves out of harms way of the one who wishes to harm her. As time passes she builds relationships, and tries to cope with her now changing powers. Sara finds herself in a whirlwind of emotions as she accepts her own feelings for Nikolas and uncovers a strength that she didn’t know what she had. In the end Sara comes to the conclusion that the one place she thought was supposed to keep her safe can no longer provide that protection.

The 2015 installment of ‘Rouge’ continues the story Sara although this time she refuses to be the hunted and takes matters into her own hands. Embarking across the country without the protection of her warrior, Sara and friends are on a mission to track done the master vampire set on destroying her. With new challenges around every corner, Sara makes new friends, builds new alliance and continues to learn to handle her new abilities. As she faces these new challenges she grows from a struggling and frightened young girl into a strong independent warrior. Nothing prepares her for coming face-to-face with her greatest enemy, testing her courage and love for those around her

Released in 2016 after the conclusion of the original trilogy, ‘Warrior’ hit stores. The fourth novel is told from Nikolas’s point of view recounting the event from books one, two and three. Nikolas is the finest warrior the Mohiri have seen in a long time. While doing a favor for a friend he is met with a feisty green-eyed beauty that pushes all his buttons and challenges him at every turn. This book contains new scenes, but does not continue pasted the third book. ‘Warrior’ gives insight to the mind of a trained warrior and how he reacts when he is faced with new emotions he didn’t know he could feel.

While book five, six and seven are all spin off stories of characters from the original trilogy, they are no less important.  These three books expand the Relentless world and explore the lives of other pivotal characters from the original set of novels.
