‘Thank U, Next’ was released November 3, 2018 following her split for Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson; to whom she was engaged to from May to October of 2018.

Grande’s song quickly rose on the Top 40 charts, reaching number 1 on more than on occasion. Following this release Grande dropped new video to  song ‘7 rings’ January 18, 2019, reaching 12 million view just 14 hours after the release.

Grande hits at her recent engagement to Davidson in the lyrics the ‘7 rings’; “Wearing a ring but ain’t gon’ be no “Mrs.”

Grande’s recent music, while centered around the past, has had a tone of forgiveness and self care.

With the anticipated release of her album with the same title as “Thank U, Next” Grande is up for another year of success and many more things to come.

The singer revealed to twitter “It was very insane and funny. [And] on the way back to the [studio] Njomza was like… and we wrote it that afternoon.

Even thought Grande and friends have been hyping the release of ‘7 rings’ for days, many were unprepared for the intense music video and are still reeling from the amazing video anesthetics.
