Not everyone is feeling very excited about Boohoo’s new “OCD” pajamas. The U.K.-based fashion retailer has come under fire for selling a pajama set with a top that features the letter “OCD” written in green and red and the phrase “Obsessive Christmas Disorder” beneath it.

Outraged customers from all over took to Twitter to let Boohoo know the punny phrase, which seems to resurface every holiday season, is insensitive to those who actually suffer from obsessive-compulsive disorder, or OCD.

TODAY reached out to a Boohoo representative for comment, but has yet to hear back. According to Kulliki Keller, “Removing the pajamas was the right thing to do.” Keller is a licensed mental health counselor in New York City who specializes with people who have OCD.

Keller also stated that “They are making a joke out of something really serious.” Many people suffer with OCD so there is no reason to make clothes for people to wear with a saying like that. The retailer really upset many customers, so removing the pajamas from the website was a good option for many people.

There are many people who agree with the statement that these pajamas were very offensive and should have not been sold. Luna Huitron a senior expressed her opinion on the issue, she said that “People should not make offensive things like that because they know they will get backlash for it.”
