This week, a scientific report has come out to address the rising global climate. According to BBC, El Nino  of 2019 will exceed the temperatures from this year. And for the United States, there is a 90% chance that El Nino will commence in January. With this report in mind, Trump called for America to become energy-dominant. However, Trump’s doctrine may not be passed within the time before El Nino commences. According to the New York Times, “rising temperatures from extreme heat events, the report notes, are expected to reduce their capacity to generate power and hamper the efficiency of the transmission grid.” Even the schedule of drilling in the Arctic for more energy while increasing productivity of oil in the West contributes to the issue. Especially with the fast increase of CO2 destroying the ozone layer that protects the Earth from the unhealthy UV rays from the sun.

In President Trump’s vow to Americans to make it the golden era of American energy, this will be held back until later notice as global warming is stronger than the previous years.
