The Great Barrier Reef, a reef that stretches across 1,400 miles of Australia’s coast, has been deteriorating due to the rise in water temperatures and coral bleaching. Certain species of marine life are accustomed to specific temperatures of water, but as the climate continues to change, the rise in water temperature continues to change as well.

Some have rumored The Great Barrier Reef to be completely extinct, but it is not. The Great Barrier Reef is definitely not in the best shape and is deteriorating quickly. Unfortunately, The Great Barrier Reef will not repair itself, so we must make a change in order for the reef to stand a chance of survival. We must continue to keep The Great Barrier Reef in the media to bring more and more attention to the deterioration in order for the reef to stand a chance.
