November Staff Spotlight

Andrew Mendoza, Writer

The Roosevelt Review would like to honor Mr. Knight on becoming November’s Staff Member of the Month!

Mr. Knight teaches Ap Euro, and is currently stationed at F202. The Roosevelt Review recently interviewed Mr. Knight to talk about his nomination.

He said, “ I am very honored to be chosen out of all our wonderful faculty to be highlighted this month! We have a lot of really special and talented teachers here, so it is nice to feel like I left enough of an impression among one of our students to be featured.”

Early Life

Mr. Knight before becoming a history teacher, was actually interested in a musical career. But he decided that music was going to be to be too much for him so he switched majors. I asked him why history and he stated, “ I really enjoyed [it], in both middle school and high school because my own top 3 favorite teachers were all history teachers.” He moved to California from Minnesota and got his teaching credential. He was quickly hired at Roosevelt soon after. He explained by saying, “  I’ve never looked back because I feel like I got very lucky and I still enjoy my career.”

Congratulations to Mr Knight for being November’s Staff Member of the Month!
