We all love our goofy, sweet and dinosaur enthusiast, Ross Geller (David Schwimmer) and to hear he has an undeniable look-alike, makes it even better… but not in this case. Recently, Schwimmer’s look-alike got caught on camera stealing a case in  Blackpole,England at a restaurant, and the media is going crazy.

Although this should be a mystery to see who the criminal is everybody from the community had suspicions that is was actor David Schwimmer from our favorite TV show, “Friends”. When the viral photo caught Schwimmer’s eyes, he quickly took to twitter on Wednesday, October 24th, 2018 saying, “Officers, I swear it wasn’t me. As you can see, I was in New York. To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation. #itwasntme.” The resemblance might have been spot on, but we now know for sure that Schwimmer was indeed, not the suspect accused of stealing beverages.

A hilarious anonymous comment got brought up in the comments under Schwimmer’s tweet saying “That’s clearly Russ, trying to frame Ross for ending up with Rachel,” in reference to co-star Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green) dating  Ross’s doppelgänger in season 2, episode titled, “The One With Russ.”

After more than 140,000 comments had been posted under Schwimmer’s viral tweet, police soon then took to the media saying “Thank you to everyone for your speedy responses. We have investigated this matter thoroughly and have confirmed that David Schwimmer was in America on this date. We’re so sorry it has to be this way.”
