Battle of the Schools- Roosey @ Cen10

Ravyn Warner, Cheif Sports Editor

It wasn’t much of a loss, but it was also a valuable lesson! Our Mustangs were defeated by Centennial High School Friday, October 7th in the first Big 8 league game. Though the high score of 77 to 20 was the final on the score board, our Mustangs were not overtaken mentally. The boys continued through the game with positive attitudes and motivation. Offense, killing it as usual, put up 20 on the score board with Chase Williams scoring twice and Kehlin Hayes scoring nearly seconds before the end of the game. Not only that, Randy Rivera, starting sophomore wide-receiver, returned as he gained many yards for our offense side! Tajh Thornton, a highlight player last week as well , was moving the ball consistently although he got injured in the 4th quarter. Get well soon Tajh! The Mustangs will continue through the season with a 4-2 record as they play at home versus Corona High School in their PINK OUT game this Friday at 7pm!
