Should all kids have the same opportunity to play school sports?

Allowing all children the same opportunities to participate in school sports is the fair thing to do. Not all kids have the means to have prior training, but are willing to learn and want to be apart of the team. Participation should be allowed based on interest and not strictly experience.

Kids go to school to prepare them for the future. Not only by learning math and English, but to learn life skills such as communication, acceptance, how to be part of a team and treat others.

Some children do not have the opportunity in schools these days, which is causing them to act out. Sometimes in very negative ways. If all children were accepted and treated equally, they would be happier, more productive and in turn, schools will be a healthier and a safer environment for not only kids but for all administrators as well. We should never deny children the opportunity and right to participate in any extra curricular activities or sport.

According to Alexis Avitia, “I believe everyone should have the right to participate in any function because everyone should have the right to do what they desire. They should be able to do this without being criticized based on their capabilities. They should not be judged by their appearance or mentality but who they truly are as a person.”

We are all equal and therefore should be treated so.
