Get ready to jam (Space Jam 2)
September 21, 2018
Come on and slam and welcome to the jam with Space Jam 2. The world renowned Lebron James, now apart of the LA Lakers, and his production company announced on September 19 that “Space Jam 2” is tentatively slated to begin filming in 2019 during the NBA off season.
After years of rumored development, we finally get a sequel with none other than a shot of locker stalls for James and Bugs Bunny. If you didn’t know Space Jam is a 1996 American live-action animated sports comedy film starring the beloved basketball player Michael Jordan and featuring the iconic Looney Tunes cartoon characters.
I went around asking some of our mustangs what they think of the return of the sports comedy classic. Andrew Barrios, a junior on campus said, ” Honestly, I remember waking up as a kid digging through an old box my mom kept all the VHS tapes and I would shove Space Jam into the player. I feel like the reboot is going to really bring nostalgia to a lot of people and it’s gonna be really cool to watch it.”
Justin Mercado, a senior, shares, “Are you for real? No way are they making a sequel, I really think its gonna be cool to see all of the Looney Tunes making a comeback, especially if they’re teaming up with Lebron James.”
It’s good to know our mustangs our ready to come on out and slam, so if I were you I’d get ready for the jam with Space Jam 2.
