The Norco Fair
September 7, 2018
This Labor Day weekend started with a ‘bam’ with the Norco Fair lighting up. Activities happened such as pig races, dog races, King Elvis performing, an amazing hypnotist sending people into a deep sleep, a Livestock auction, a stunning Parade, and to end it all, a family day that had fun games placed in the arena.
Kiylee Gallardo, who was there representing the Miss Norco Pageant as Miss Eastvale Jr. Teen Queen, emphasizes “It was a very excited event all day everyday. The different vendors made just walking around fun, especially with the different kinds of food like Barbecue, corn dogs, and cotton candy.”
Arlene Lewis, a Chamber Member and Co-Director of the Miss Norco Pageant, along with husband and Co-Director Gary Lewis have been in Norco for 50 years and have gone most every year to the Norco Fair. “This year’s fair had less of a family atmosphere than in decades past,” they commented, but Mrs. Lewis loved that she got to bring her girls to the fair this year.
The first event that was soon added to the Norco fair was established in 1882. These events that take place were made to have a friendly competition and so spend time with family. So in next year’s bang bring your family down and enjoy the experience yourself.
