Get ready Mustangs! Roosevelt’s advanced theater department is in the process of creating the engaging musical “Seussical”, which is set to open October 26 and run until November 3.
This new musical is not only the most performed musical in all of America, but is brought to us by highly skilled talented actors and actresses who will bring our favorite Dr. Seuss children stories to life on stage. The cast of this musical is not only excited to showcase their long hours of hard work and dedication, but are also anxious for the audience to experience the magic they having been creating.
“So far, Seussical has been a wonderful experience”, explains cast member Amy Olson, who protrays “Jungle Citizen”. “We are really just one big family [ and ] we hope by the end of the show, the audience leaves with a smile on their face!”
As much we, as an audience, are excited for our performers to take the big stage, other amazing talents such as the director, choreographer, stage managers etc. showcase their talents backstage, to make sure we receive a memorable show.
The director and current Roosevelt theater adviser, Merica Frost, has made it a goal, throughout her years of putting on plays and musicals, to make sure her imagination and thoughts of every production are fully expressed through her talents on the stage.
