May 5th-Happy Cinco De Mayo!
Do You Know The History?
May 5, 2017
Cinco De Mayo is the day that reflects the French-Mexican war in 1861 all the way until 1867. A group of the Mexicans soldiers, in which were outnumbered, defeated the powerful invasion of French forces. The leaving of the French troops during the Battle of Puebla lead to the victory of the Mexicans.
Though it isn’t a glorified day in history, the Mexicans’ existence was galvanized and the French withdrew by the end of a 6 year period. Today all of Mexico celebrates the victory of Cinco De Mayo at the Battle Of Puebla.
Traditions of Cinco De Mayo include parades, recreations at The Battle of Puebla and many other festivities. Cinco De Mayo is not considered a federal holiday. To some, it is just another regular day in the year.
