Halloween is just around the corner, with the upcoming holiday surely to bring about great scares and frights come October 31st. But in the meantime, an evening showing of the classic 1998 Disney channel original movie  “Halloweentown” was held here at ERHS in the Mustang Theatre from 7:30 PM to 10 PM, hosted by Senior Class Council alongside Link Crew. Tickets were sold for $2 at the door.

While Senior Class Council presented the film, Link Crew was responsible for the haunted hallway attraction that students could enter in addition to seeing the movie in the theatre.

“Halloweentown” revolves around seemingly ordinary,  young 13 year old teenager named Marnie Piper (portrayed by actress Kimberly J Brown), her brother Ethan (Joey Zimmerman), and her sister Sophie ( Emily Roeske)as they discover their mystical heritage through their eccentric yet sweet grandmother Agatha Cromwell, who visits them on Halloween night, telling them of the place she’s from: Halloweentown, place inhabited by all sorts of Halloween creatures – witches, warlocks, goblins, werewolves, skeletons, etc. -all of whom are more benevolent and kind than one would think. Because of her love for the supernatural, Marnie and her siblings decides to follow her grandmother back to Halloweentown despite disapproval from their mother, who despises the holiday. There, they must fend off against a dark force that threatens the town.

Attendance was as expected and everyone had a good time.
