This last month here at Roosevelt has been nothing but exciting to say the least. All with a new year, new semester, and new basketball season of course! With every end there’s a beginning and with football season coming to an official end, girls and boys basketball has been heating up as they emerge into another glorious season!

The Roosevelt Review got an opportunity to interview one of many varsity basketball’s star players, Shane Batilaran. Check out what he had to say!

”Our expectations for this season are to win leagues championships again 3 times in a row and today is our game against Centennial, who unfortunately beat us for our first league game, but we’re looking to come back strong and hopefully be able to beat them”

”As for competition I would definitely consider Centennial as probably our toughest as they’ve got a really good team (as do we) but I personally think that if we all just come together and put our minds to it by working together, we can definitely accomplish everything we wish to this season”

Well you heard it here first Mustangs, make sure to stay posted for more basketball updates this season, in addition to supporting our fellow athletes and attending the basketball games! Go Mustangs!
