Women’s March 2018

Womens March 2018

Camryn Johnson, Staff Writer

The Women’s March is a march for women. Although, it’s really about the  many more things to be done for the equality for women.

Now, of course, a lot has already been done and that’s something to celebrate. It’s becoming this movement that sounds like it could be an annual thing that happens once a year, every since it became a thing the year it was held on Saturday January 21,2017 after President Trump’s inauguration.

This march is very popular on social media; on Saturday, it was all over my news feed. Videos of women, teens, and children marching the streets of Lake Eola park downtown and also one at Harrison Avenue.

The women’s march is all about having the same opportunities and equality as men and equal pay and fair wages because women are paid lower wages then men and that’s something we need to march for. We need leadership roles because women, they outnumber men in college rates and they make up nearly half the workforce, but they just seem to not fall through on the leader ship roles and better jobs, Basically we just want to break into new sectors with higher pay.
