This past  weekend the Grammy’s premiered Sunday night with Alicia Keys as the host, and featured guest appearances such as Michelle Obama, and performances  from artists such as Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and Jada Pinkett Smith. Opening the show with the first ever Latina was Camilla Cabello singing Havana.

Prior to the ceremony, celebrities of all types graced the red carpet, showcasing their ensembles made by the most prominent designers in the industry.

When asked her opinion regarding the Grammys, we asked ERHS student Vanessa Gamez what she thought.

Taylor McCall

“The Grammy’s were good this year, even though my favorite artist didn’t win a Grammy, it was still cool to see the performances”.

In response to the Dolly Parton tribute conducted midway through the ceremony, ERHS junior Taylor McCall offered her  opinions in the following statement: “It was nice to see Dolly Parton being honored, as she always has a positive vibe and has always had great music.”
