This season’s Lady Mustangs

Aurielle Whitehead, Writer

This season of girls’ basketball so far has been fantastic! Our Varsity Lady Mustangs have been doing great in their tournaments. Their overall win to loss ratio is seven to zero. They are on a seven week streak of winning!

Our Varsity Lady Mustangs are being coached by Dennis Ullom this 2018-2019 season. At their game yesterday against Walnut High School, they won 54 to 28. Their first league game is taking place on Dec. 18 at Corona High School and they are playing against Corona High School.

A junior and varsity player, Rachel Nelson, stated, “The main reason why basketball is fun is because of the girls I play with. This team has been great and we all get along really well. I think that we will have a great season with only Centennial High School and King High School to look out for because we have to beat them in order to make it to the playoffs.

I think we could also make it really far in the playoffs. This year is our five seniors’ last years, so we will miss them a lot.” We wish our Lady Mustangs the best of luck with the rest of this season and we will miss our Senior Lady Mustangs!
