Kanye West: “I miss the old Kanye”

Andrew Mendoza, Staff Writer

Kanye west has been a recent topic of debate ever since his interview with TMZ when he stated, “ Slavery was a choice.” But he recently made a surprise appearance on SNL where he hosted the show for the night.

At the end of the show, he took the stage to talk about his political stance and said, “ There’s so many times I talk to a white person about this and they say, ‘ How could you like Trump? He’s racist.Well, uh, if I was concerned about racism I would’ve moved out of America a long time ago.”

Later throughout this week, Kanye posted tweets like, “ We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment.” (Seeing as tough the 13th amendment abolished slavery)

There have been many thoughts on the state of his well being after these shocking comments. Cindy Mendoza, a follower of Kimye (Kim Kardashian and Kanye West) said, ” I honestly think that Kanye West is doing all of this for the attention of the media. He doesn’t really think before he speaks and that is really bad his image.”

I honestly think that he can voice whatever opinion he wants but at the same time he has to be reasonable with the topics he discusses  because millions of people are watching him. Some people see him as a role model, and some as a fashion genius. But if Kanye West wants the general public to like him, then he needs to rethink his thoughts and come to a conclusion that he is wrong. What do you think, Mustangs? Do you think this a public stunt, or is he having issues with being a public figure? Comment down below your thoughts!
