The U.S. and the UK have recently put a ban on electronic device usage on some cabin flights to several Middle Eastern countries. The U.S. announced that they would ban electronic devices on flights also to North Africa and Europe. This ban only applies to ten airports. Those airports are…

  1. Mohammed V International
  2. Ataturk Airport
  3. Cairo International Airport
  4. Queen Alia International
  5. King Abdulaziz
  6. King Khalid International
  7. Kuwait International
  8. Hamad International
  9. Abu Dhabi International
  10. Dubai International

The Department of Homeland Security is only banning large electronic devices such as laptops, tablets, cameras, electronic games, etc. Phones and medical devices are not included in the ban. The passengers will not be allowed to carry their electronic devices into the cabin’s luggage. Passengers are to stow their devices in the checked-in baggage. The restriction is meant to help prevent terrorist attacks on airlines.
